The Reality of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Course Number
LEL701

Sexual harassment has been recognized as sex discrimination for years; however, #MeToo has changed the dialogue and legal issues facing employers, unions, men, and women.  Are unions and employers equipped to be in the middle, dealing with both the harassed and the harasser?  Women who come forward may find their careers derailed; accused men are suing women for defamation; and male managers report they are uncomfortable working alone with women.  How are these issues being handled on the ground, in arbitration, and in the courts?
