Three ILRies Named Award Winners

Three ILRies are 2021 Labor and Employment Relations Association award recipients.

Alex Colvin, Ph.D. ’99, the Kenneth F. Kahn’69 Dean and the Martin F. Scheinman ’75, MS ’76, Professor of Conflict Resolution, has been named an academic fellow by the organization, known as LERA.

The fellow designation recognizes both scholars and practitioners who have made contributions of unusual distinction to the field and have been in the profession and field for longer than 10 years.

Richard Fincher ’73 of Workplace Solutions LLC was named a practitioner fellow.

Hyesook Chung, Ph.D.’22, is receiving the best paper award, sponsored by University Council of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Programs. Chung’s paper is “Flexible Staffing Practices, Unit-level Turnover, and Performance Recovery During the COVID-19 Pandemic.”

The awards will be made virtually at the 73rd annual meeting of LERA from June 5 through June 8.
