Undergraduates at ILR enjoy the benefits of a small, close-knit, multicultural community along side the many advantages of Cornell's broad scope of courses, organizations and facilities.
In ILR we strive to build upon Ezra Cornell’s vision to found “an institution where any person can find instruction in any study.” As our statement on diversity states, we are committed to providing you with support that will enhance your academic achievement, career development and personal growth, and we provide many programs and services to make your years at Cornell successful and enjoyable. These include course advising and counseling, study skills and tutoring services, and various workshops and seminars that promote personal growth.
As the Associate Director of Multicultural Affairs, I work closely with faculty, staff and various Cornell offices to assist students during their undergraduate years. I am a member of several campus-wide diversity committees that work to make our campus more inclusive. Lastly, I coordinate the Pre-Freshmen Summer Program for ILR and am the college liaison to the state programs office for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). Supporting our students who hold marginalized identities and educating the ILR community about the social issues that impact our students are at the core of what matters to me.
I hope to have the opportunity to engage with as many of you as possible. Feel free to stop by and see me anytime, because I will always make time for you.
