Sept. 16 Webinar: New York at Work

New York State Impact

The ILR School’s New York at Work 2022 report will be discussed in a Sept. 16 webinar from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET.

Register here for the webinar. The public is invited.

Ariel Avgar, ILR’s senior associate dean for Outreach and sponsored research, will facilitate the discussion with New York State Department of Labor officials:

  • Roberta Reardon, who leads the agency as commissioner
  • Chris White, deputy commissioner for workforce development
  • Yvonne Martinez, associate commissioner for policy research and strategy.

The New York at Work report will serve as a springboard for discussion on some of the state’s most pressing issues, many of them connected to the creation of good, high-quality jobs.

Although many problems were exacerbated by the pandemic, opportunities also grew from the pressures it created, Avgar said.

Labor department and ILR actions in the current work, labor and employment environment will be discussed Sept. 16, along with findings from ILR’s Empire State Poll.
