22 January 2026 Cornell Southeast Asia Program, Global Labor Institute and Thammasat Business School Bangkok Conference 'Hot Air: What works to combat extreme heat in apparel production in Asia?' Recap

We at the Global Labor Institute were excited to partner with the Cornell Southeast Asia Program and the Thammasat Business School to hold the 'Hot Air: What works to combat extreme heat in apparel production in Asia?' conference in Bangkok, Thailand on 22 January 2026. We welcomed our friends, colleagues, fellow researchers and many others to Bangkok as we presented our recent 'Cooling Before It Got Cool' case studies research, as well as our upcoming work on the impacts of heat on apparel workers.
