Any interested person who has a financial hardship and who is interested in applying for/receiving continuing legal education credit may apply for a discount to attend a workshop sponsored by Cornell University ILR's Professional Development Programs
Employees of Government and Not-for-Profit organizations automatically receive a 15% discount.

Attorneys who have been in practice for less than two (2) years and full-time undergraduate and graduate students will be eligible for a 15% reduction in the attendance fee upon request. Further reductions are available based on demonstrated need.

An applicant seeking a reduction in the program fee must:

  • Apply in writing no later than ten (10) working days before the scheduled program date
  • The application must state the applicant's name, address, and daytime telephone number; the program title, and date(s)
  • Include the financial basis for the application and any other relevant circumstances

Discounts will be awarded or denied based upon circumstances stated in the application, where the information provided demonstrates a reasonable cause to believe that attendance at the program will be valuable to the applicant's work or career development and that, under the applicant's present financial circumstances, payment of the full program amount will represent a significant financial hardship.
