Alex Kowalski

Assistant Professor, Human Resource Studies

Alex studies human resource management practices that enhance employee involvement in decision-making and give employees greater control over their workplace. He is also examining how certain practices, such as algorithmic management, performance monitoring, and just-in-time scheduling, disproportionately and adversely impact non-white workers. He conducts his research largely in the U.S. warehousing and logistics industry, which employs a disproportionate share of workers of color.
