Jose Palma

National Coordinator, National TPS Alliance

José A. Palma is the National Coordinator of the National TPS Alliance, a member-led grassroots organization advocating for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders and a pathway to permanent residency. Originally from El Salvador, José migrated to the United States and has dedicated more than two decades to organizing and advancing immigrant rights. He co-founded the Massachusetts TPS Committee following the 2001 earthquakes in El Salvador and has helped build the National TPS Alliance into a coalition of more than 60 local committees across 27 states. José has played a leading role in national advocacy efforts, including litigation challenging the termination of TPS protections, coalition-building across immigrant communities, and educating policymakers about the economic and social contributions of TPS holders. His work continues to focus on protecting immigrant families and advancing permanent solutions for long-term TPS residents.
