Monae Archibeque
Monae Archibeque (she/her) is Political Director at OLÉ New Mexico (Organizers in the Land of Enchantment), a grassroots member organization building independent political power for working families since 2009. Monae builds relationships with members and policymakers to strengthen collective action for worker justice.
Building on New Mexico's constitutional amendment making childcare a right for all New Mexicans and the universal childcare program making it free for all families, Monae works in coalition with early educators, parents, policymakers, and advocates to ensure funding is tied to pay transparency—because these policies only work when ECE workers earn living wages. She guides member-led campaigns connecting electoral power to care worker organizing.
Monae believes democracy is not a spectator sport. Before joining OLÉ, she was a reproductive justice advocate, helping pass the Crown Act, the New Mexico Voting Rights Act, and the Reproductive and Gender-Affirming Health Care Freedom Act. Her work focuses on local elections and building lasting power so working families and care workers across New Mexico have a real seat at the table.
