Madison Hull

Madison Hull’s journey in the trades began in middle school woodshop and high school art classes in her hometown of Reno, NV, experiences that sparked a lifelong love of building and creating. This passion later led her to AmeriCorps and the Red Cross Disaster Relief program in Miami, Florida, where witnessing communities rebuild after devastating natural disasters shaped her humanitarian outlook and inspired a commitment to meaningful, lasting change.

Madison discovered her career path in skilled trades at Laney College in Oakland, CA, where she was introduced to apprenticeship by Tradeswomen, Inc. She was accepted into the Glazier, Architectural Metal & Glass Worker Apprenticeship program with Local 718 in San Francisco and spent 13 years in the field as Leadman, Foreman, and Superintendent. Her apprenticeship provided technical expertise, leadership experience, and a deep appreciation for mentorship—values she continues to champion today.

Over the past decade, Madison has built a distinguished career as a labor leader, community advocate, and champion for women and underrepresented communities in high-skilled trades. She has served as Business Representative, Communications & Political Director, Director of Service, and President of District Council 16, IUPAT, and now proudly serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades.

Madison leads with experience, passion, and vision, inspiring others to master their endeavors, lift and serve their communities, and create opportunities for the next generation of tradespeople. Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, golfing, cycling and practicing yoga.
