Adekemi Gray

Adekemi Gray is the Executive Vice President of the Mount Sinai Division at 1199SEIU, the largest healthcare union in the United States. Elected to the role in May 2025, Adekemi brings over two decades of experience in healthcare and labor advocacy. His journey began in 2000 as a Patient Service Representative at New York Radiology Associates, an offsite location of Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.

Over the years, he advanced through the ranks, serving 12 years as a Delegate and later taking on staff roles including Contract Administrator and Pro-Tech Specialist. 

Adekemi’s leadership was further recognized with his election as Vice President of the Mount Sinai Upper Manhattan Area in 2019 and again in 2022. Throughout his career, he has been a steadfast advocate for healthcare workers, known for his strategic vision, deep commitment to worker empowerment, and dedication to advancing equity and justice in healthcare.
