Terrell George

Terrell George was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Murray-Wright High School and went on to attend Tennessee State University, an HBCU, where he proudly performed in the world-renowned Aristocrat of Bands.

For the past eight years, he has served as a head varsity coach, dedicating himself to shaping and guiding young athletes. His journey with UNITE HERE Local 24 began as a shop steward, later serving four terms on the Executive Board. In 2022, he was elected Vice President, and in 2025, he was honored to be elected President of the local.

Throughout his life, Terrell has devoted himself to uplifting young people. As a father of two and a mentor to hundreds of kids, he has embraced his role as both provider and role model. His vision is to one day open a community recreation center that provides free access for children—a safe space where they can stay off the streets, grow, and thrive.
