Bruce Levitt, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of History

Bruce Levitt is a Professor in the Department of Theatre, Film, and Dance at Cornell University. Previous to assuming the Chair of the Department at Cornell, Levitt headed the MFA programs in Acting and Directing at the Universities of Iowa and Columbia University. He is a former chair of the New York State Council on the Arts Theatre Panel. Levitt is a facilitator for the Phoenix Players Theatre Group, an organization founded by incarcerated men at Auburn Maximum Security Prison.
