Lars Vilhuber, Ph.D.

Dr. Lars Vilhuber is an economist with expertise in working with highly detailed longitudinally linked data to analyze various dynamics of labor markets. He also has an active research agenda in disclosure limitation techniques and extensive expertise on the creation and maintenance of data systems designed with analysis, publication, replicability, and code maintenance in mind. He is on the faculty of Cornell’s Department of Economics, and the Executive Director of ILR’s Labor Dynamics Institute. Since 2018, he is the American Economic Association‘s inaugural Data Editor, Co-Chair, Innovations in Data and Experiments for Action (IDEA) Initiative at J-PAL, Managing Editor at the Journal of Privacy and Confidentiality, and incoming Chair of the American Statistical Association‘s Committee on Privacy and Confidentiality.
