Nguyen is a faculty researcher at the Cornell ILR Climate Jobs Institute.
Nguyen has a ten-year track record working on a range of social justice issues, highlighting her passion for community-driven strategy and equitable policy design.
Prior to CJI, Nguyen advised utilities and government agencies on energy efficiency programs serving low- and moderate-income communities. Under her leadership, Nguyen secured over $1.7 million to decarbonize affordable housing in New York’s downstate region.
Before this, Nguyen worked on political campaigns advancing worker rights and environmental justice. Her efforts won the passage of the NY HERO Act – the country’s first permanent airborne infectious disease standard, $4 billion for green infrastructure projects in New York City public schools, and $4 million for Commercial Waste Zones implementation in New York City.
