Jennifer Best is the ILR Operations Administrator in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR) Human Resources department at Cornell University. She joined ILR in 2023 and partners with school leadership on strategic HR and operational initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding and orientation, compensation and classification analysis, performance management, compliance, employee engagement, and people leader development.
Jennifer is committed to streamlining processes, fostering a culture of belonging, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and supporting initiatives that contribute to employee success and wellbeing. She works closely with leaders across the School to develop effective practices that support employees and strengthen the ILR community.
Prior to joining ILR, Jennifer held positions within Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), and central Alumni Affairs & Development. She holds a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations (MILR) degree from the Cornell ILR School.
