David A. Yantorno

Dave Yantorno serves as Assistant Dean of Marketing, Communications and Web at the ILR School, where he leads a team of communicators, marketers, designers, and web developers. The team's primary responsibility is to support ILR and Cornell's priorities in terms of promoting research and outreach excellence, program marketing, support of development goals and providing overall service to the school.

Since joining ILR in 2000, Dave has worked in various communications and marketing roles, ascending to the Assistant Dean position. As the primary architect of ILR's brand system and program marketing framework, he has established a professional marketing, communications and web service organization that meets the needs of various constituencies across the school and university. He works closely with faculty, students, alumni and staff to achieve the goals set forth by ILR and Cornell leadership.

Dave holds a BS in Sociology from Ithaca College and an MPS degree in ILR from Cornell.

Dave lives in the downtown neighborhood of Fall Creek in Ithaca with his wife, Angela, their blended family of four children, Ruby (15), Skye (18), Sofia (19), Ella (21), and their dog Leo (11). He is a songwriter and guitarist who performs locally alongside Angela in the band Not From Wisconsin.
