Why did you choose the MILR program?

I chose the MILR program because it provides a platform through which dedicated individuals can transform their good intentions into practicable solutions to advance justice and equity in the workplace.

What is your favorite part about the MILR program?

Despite the world-class faculty, my favorite part about the MILR program is the community of engaged individuals focused on improving themselves and others to solve complex issues in the workplace and society.

What has been your favorite class so far?

My favorite class so far is Leading and Managing Teams. It provides experiential development of broadly valuable skills to enable today’s students to become tomorrow’s leaders.

What is your favorite part of Ithaca?

I appreciate how Ithaca's steep hill builds character and calves.

What advice would you give a prospective student?

Cornell possesses resources yearning to be consumed; consume them greedily.

Where did you intern during summer 2020?

This past summer I interned for the Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution to research how lawsuits impacted city accountability by analyzing trends in New York City’s budget, lawsuit expenses, amount of claims, type of claims, and policy changes providing examples of ineffective and effective governance and behavior or individual public employees and departmental agencies. I enjoyed discussing ideas about my research and current events with fellow interns, supervisors, and professionals connected to the Scheinman Institute.
