Built off a living wage campaign led by London Citizens, this case study describes the unionization of low-wage, predominantly migrant cleaners in London. Unite the union (formerly Transport General Workers Union), the largest private sector union in the UK, successfully created a new 2000 member cleaners branch.  The case study reviews links to other unions and campaigns in the US and UK and also analyses the extent to which the workers have been integrated into unions and society.
