Verena Bader is currently a postdoctoral research associate for the Chair for Human Resource Management and Organization Theory, Bundeswehr University Munich. Her research focuses on human resource management and the future of work. In particular, she explores questions in the areas of co-determination and employee participation in digital transformation, HR analytics and algorithmic decision-making, and HR innovation and new forms of organizing. The empirical contexts of her research involve tensions between management and employee interests (e.g., co-determination), the human resource management profession and public human resource management (e.g., open government). Theoretically, her research is guided by a focus on sociomateriality and practices, especially material-discursive practices.
