Jelena Starcevic

Jelena's research at McMaster University, School of Labour Studies, focuses on the effects of digitalisation on the labour market institutions and participants; specifically, her dissertation explores the regulation of platform work in the region of South-East Europe. Throughout her fellowship, she will investigate how national institutions shape particular organising forms of platform companies operating in Croatia and Serbia in the transportation and food delivery sector and understand how the interaction between national institutions and platform business models influences the mechanisms and outcomes of the commodification of platform workers.
