Jacek Burski is a sociologist and an assistant professor at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Wroclaw. Post-doc in the National Science Centre OPUS project: ‘COV-WORK: Socio-economic consciousness, work experiences and coping strategies of Poles in the context of the post-pandemic crisis.” He led the National Science Center MINIATURA project: “Residents in Crises. Biographical Dimension of Becoming Physician in the Polish Healthcare System”. He was a team member of numerous research projects focused on a biographical approach. His academic interests cover the sociology of work, biographical sociology, precarity, and social change.
