Bjarke Refslund is an associate professor in sociology at Aalborg University, the department of Sociology and Social Work, Denmark. His main research areas include unions, workers’ collective action, labour migration, working-class consciousness and labour market sociology, and he has been working on power resource theory recently (with Jens Arnholtz), collective action, organising migrant workers, precarious employment, public regulation and Europeanisation of labour markets amongst others. Currently he is working on a research project funded by independent research council Denmark: “The formation of worker collectivism among migrant workers”, where wildcat strikes among migrant workers in Denmark, UK and Germany are studied.
