The Solidarity Center is a non-profit entity that addresses the challenges workers face in the global economy. The Solidarity Center assists  workers to build democratic and independent trade unions and to advance worker rights in all global trade, investment, and development policies. 
 
Job Description
There are 3 internships available in Washington, DC: 1) Asia-Europe Department, 2) Americas Department and 3) Migration and Trafficking Department.  A basic background knowledge of the region, the culture, the history, and the political, social, and economic situation and  foreign language speaking skills are helpful to this internship position.
 
Skills needed
knowlege of labour unions, writing, qualitative and quantitative research, computer, communication and interpersonal skills, creative thinking and a passion for raising public awareness about the abuse of the world's most vulnerable workers
