Miller Shah, LLP is a boutique law firm based in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, with offices in several other states.  The firm focuses its practice on complex litigation, including class action and collective proceedings. Miller Shah represents certain business clients in management-side labor relations, negotiating executive compensation agreements and other employment matters.

Internship Description
The intern would work closely with law professionals and would gain exposure in:

  1. the various aspects of Miller Shah's labor and employment practice and, specifically, would focus on assisting the firm in prosecuting several cutting-edge class actions that it is currently handling which challenge certain practices in the defined contribution retirement industry
  2. developing and prosecuting certain wage and hour collective actions pending in California and New Jersey, and would learn about the firm’s whistleblower practice under the False Claims Act, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
  3. learning to draft research memoranda, attend court hearings, depositions, mediations and firm meetings

Skills Needed
Miller Shah, LLP is simply seeking a motivated intern with good communication, research and writing skills that is interested in learning about the firm’s practice and working in a collegial, informal environment.
