HR leaders play a strategic role in helping companies respond to a rapidly changing business environment. As the architects of agile organizations, they must build talent pipelines, achieve workforce efficiencies, lead change and enable organizational excellence. To succeed in this important capacity, HR professionals must possess strong leadership skills.

Join ILR professors Dr. Brad Bell and Dr. Chris Collins for an intensive, highly interactive, three-day program that equips HR professionals to provide strategic support to senior leaders, helping them contend with a myriad of organizational, talent and workforce issues.

Integrating academic research with practice, this session examines the need for trusted HR professionals with the expertise to advise senior leadership teams and the vision to design successful business solutions. This data-driven approach is grounded in five years of research and industry best practices from Cornell ILR's Center for Advanced HR Studies (CAHRS), including hundreds of interviews with chief HR officers, senior-level HR leaders and senior business leaders.

Participants will assess their current skills and examine competencies needed to serve as trusted and credible HR leaders, such as managing organizational politics and building relationships, addressing disruptive team dynamics, delivering courageous discussions, coaching and engaging leaders, and accelerating business strategy.

In this active learning environment, participants apply concepts and solutions to real-life situations, through group exercises, case studies, skill-building and more — and receive on-the-spot faculty and peer feedback and coaching.
