Miller Awards Announced
Three doctoral students have received Benjamin Miller Fellowship funding to support research activities.
The awards were made by the ILR Research Committee and announced Tuesday by Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Diversity, and Faculty Development Kate Griffith.
The awardees and their advisers are Peter Polhill, Associate Professor Ben Rissing; Gokulnath Govindan, Professor Sarah Besky, and E. Ayaj Rana, Associate Professor Adam Seth Litwin.
The annual awards provide financial support for graduate student research activities leading to the completion of a master’s of science thesis or a doctoral dissertation.
The funded projects are:
- “The government job: fighting marketisation through aspirations” (Govindan)
- “Norms of ‘Nurturing’ and its Impact on Women Founders” (Polhill)
- “Equilibrating the Exchange: Disintermediation in Triadic Labor Markets of the Remote Gig Economy” (Rana)
