The Future of DE&I at Work: April 14

The public is invited to “Driving Progress: The Future of DE&I at Work” from 10 to 11 a.m. ET on April 14. The eCornell event is open to the public via Zoom. Register here to view the conversation as it occurs, or after the event.

The event features two ILR School alumni who are industry and higher education leaders.

Dana D. Moss is vice president and chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at Corning Incorporated, and a 2016 graduate of the ILR School’s Executive Master of Human Resource Management degree program.

She will share what she has learned about DE&I’s role in the workplace and its future with Alexander Colvin, Ph.D. '99, the ILR School’s Kenneth F. Kahn '69 Dean and Martin F. Scheinman '75, MS '76 Professor of Conflict Resolution.

Moss will also discuss Corning’s journey toward establishing an intuitive DE&I mindset globally and include information from Corning’s annual DE&I report, published in March.

Moss leads Corning’s global diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy, including overseeing efforts to hire, develop and retain diverse talent while creating an equitable and inclusive environment for all employees.

She joined Corning in 2000 as a senior market analyst and held commercial and communications roles in Corning Specialty Materials and Corning Life Sciences before joining Corning’s human resources team.

After serving as division human resources manager for Corning Environmental Technologies, and then as human resources director for Corning’s Research, Development & Engineering organization, she was appointed to her current role in May 2020.

In addition to her ILR degree, Moss holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematical sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a master of business administration from Wake Forest University.
