World-Class HRBP Framework
HR Business Partners (HRBPs) -- one of the most important HR talent pools in organizations -- often don't have access to the same peer community and Learning & Development opportunities as members of other HR Centers of Excellence. This gap is why, over the past year, CAHRS has collaborated with senior HRBPs, CHROs and business leaders from our partner companies to design the World-Class HRBP Framework.
Nickle LaMoreaux, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at IBM and CAHRS Advisory Board Chair, intends to utilize the tool as a strategic way of building capabilities. “We plan to use this framework by incorporating it into our performance experience. In addition, we will put it into our learning, reskilling, and development plans so we can develop the next generation of HR business partners.”
The comprehensive HRBP model defines the key elements of the HRBP role and sets a clear standard for what "great" looks like. Built to address the realities of a rapidly changing workplace, the framework provides practical guidance to help HRBPs elevate their influence, drive strategic outcomes and lead with confidence.
Bala Purushothaman, Chief Human Resources Officer, Procter & Gamble and CAHRS Advisory Board Member, has a suggestion for HR practitioners: “As you define strategy, priorities and the mission for your HR teams, use the framework. You’ll ensure that your work is correctly targeted, holistic, and personally, you show up in a way that is strategic and relevant to the needs of your business and the employees that you serve.”
