CAHRS Gladly Receives Fall Research Assistants

New Student RAs Tasked to Work on Special HR Projects

Hailey Ryu brings over six years of HR experience at CJ Group, one of Korea’s leading conglomerates and a Fortune Global 500 company, spanning compensation, talent management, talent acquisition, and performance management. Throughout her career, she has led and supported a variety of HR transformation initiatives, including global recruitment process redesign, the implementation of 360-degree feedback and leadership assessment programs, and the enhancement of compensation and performance management practices. She has also contributed to building more data-driven approaches to workforce and talent decisions across multiple HR functions. 

She is particularly interested in total rewards, talent management strategy, and the role of AI and emerging technologies in shaping the future of work. As a CAHRS Research Assistant, Hailey looks forward to exploring these intersections and contributing research that helps organizations build more adaptive, high-performing HR functions.

Mari Santa Cruz brings experience advancing talent management and organizational culture in Peru, where she built talent assessment systems, led organizational transformation, and designed succession plans for executive-level roles. She has also supported supervisor training and policy benchmarking in a global manufacturing environment, bridging HR practice with data-driven research. She is particularly interested in strategic HR management and workforce analytics as key drivers of organizational performance.

CAHRS Academic Director and William J. Conaty Professor of Strategic Human Resources says “We are very excited to have Mari and Hailey as CAHRS research assistants this fall," says CAHRS Academic Director and William J. Conaty Professor of Strategic Human Resources. "Their work this semester will focus on helping us to continue to advance the CAHRS World Class HRBP Framework as well as conducting research to support our various events and meetings this fall.  Their work will help to ensure that CAHRS provides evidence-based insights to help our partner companies navigate emerging HR challenges and opportunities.
