Star Yanxin Gao

Star Yanxin Gao is a certified program management professional with over 15 years of experience leading research programs, data-driven initiatives, and cross-functional partnerships across Cornell University, global research networks, and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining the Yang–Tan Institute, Star worked as a (Senior) Research Associate/Program Manager and Faculty Search Administrator, and in finance roles, within the School of Integrative Plant Sciences at Cornell University. She has organized more than 40 large-scale annual meetings, symposia, workshops, and webinars that have broadened collaborative partnerships, accelerated knowledge exchange, and enhanced engagement among faculty, students, and international strategic partners.

In addition to her professional work, Star is actively involved in coaching and developing the next generations. She serves as a care deacon and supports the Youth and Children’s Ministries at her local church, and she also leads NextGen programs and monthly webinars remotely for the @Cloud Marketplace Ministry.

At the Yang-Tan Institute, Star provides administrative and program support for the TAP for Data and NIDILRR projects.
