Thank you for your interest in this year's Strategic Corporate Research Summer School! Before beginning your application, please be sure to read the information below detailing the required application materials. All files, except for references, must be uploaded and submitted with your application. (Note: applications cannot be submitted without the required documents.)

Required Application Materials

  3. Research paper example (Advanced track only)
  4. Scholarship essay (If applying for a scholarship)
  5. Two letters of reference
  6. $100 deposit (non-refundable)

Essay Requirements (All applicants):

  • Two- to three-pages
  • Single spaced
  • Explain why you are interested in attending the program, why you believe you are qualified to be accepted into the program, and what you plan to do upon completion of the course

Research Paper Requirements (Advanced Track only):

  • At least 10 pages (full paper or excerpt)
  • Must show use of citations

Scholarship Essay Requirements (Scholarship applicants only):

  • Two-pages
  • Single spaced
  • Explain your personal reasons for applying for a scholarship and whether you plan to pursue a career in strategic corporate research after completion of the course

Reference Requirements (All applicants):

  • Two letters submitted by the applicant’s references directly to Dr. Bronfenbrenner (a secure website link will be emailed to the references indicated on the application)
  • The letters should speak to as many of the following attributes about the applicant as possible:
    • Research and writing aptitude and experience
    • Depth of knowledge and experience relating to strategic corporate research, labor policy, globalization, organizing, bargaining, and comprehensive campaigns
    • Long-term academic and career goals

Deposit (All applicants):

Payments for the program are made by credit card, or by check. An invoice will be emailed to you once you have been accepted into the program. For quicker processing, we strongly encourage you to pay by credit card. If you choose to pay by check, you must print out and include the invoice with your check.
