The Scheinman Institute: An Overview

The Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution is the preeminent institute in the world focused on workplace conflict.  

The mission of the Scheinman Institute is to study the causes of workplace conflict, develop methods and cultures for managing it, and provide education and training to help individuals and organizations navigate workplace conflict.

The Institute developed the National Conflict Resolution Service (NCRS), which provides labor dispute resolution, training, facilitation, and conflict management and prevention services.

Scheinman Students Learn Dispute Resolution in Hopi and Navajo Nations

The Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution, in collaboration with the ILR International Programs Office, offers the Hopi & Navajo Engaged Learning Program each spring semester, which includes a field research trip to Arizona. This unique program introduces ILR students to the conflict resolution processes used by the Hopi and Navajo Nations.

ILR Hosts Conference on Transition to Electric Vehicles

The ILR School hosted a two-day conference that explored labor and the transition to electric vehicles. Organized in part by Ian Greer, Professor Harry Katz and Art Wheaton, the conference and its 35 attendees aimed to develop a global understanding of the EV shift and its consequences for workers.
