Heightened Worker Militancy: How to Avoid Unnecessary Conflict

We’ll first examine why there has been a marked recent increase in worker militancy exhibited in increased union organizing, frequent strikes, and contentious collective bargaining. We’ll then discuss strategies labor and management can use to reduce the occurrence of unnecessary conflict. Examples of how the parties have used a strategic problem-solving approach to satisfy both sides’ core interests will be highlighted.
