Scheinman Panel Addresses Workplace Safety Issues During The Pandemic

In February, the Scheinman Institute, in association with eCornell, hosted an informative and timely virtual discussion of workplace safety and related issues in the pandemic. Moderated by the Institute’s Director and Jack Shenkman Professor Harry Katz, the panel included Dan McCray, who directs the Labor Relations programs at Scheinman. Also featured were Richard Maroko, President  of the Hotel Trades Council, AFL-CIO and Dianne R. LaRocca, Executive Director, Labor and Employee Relations, Public Service Energy Group (PSEG). Over 500 people attended a wide-ranging discussion of work related concerns arising from the covid crisis and how management and labor can collaborate to foster a safe and equitable work environment.
