Meet Lucas Clover Alcolea: A Post-doctoral Associate at the Scheinman Institute

Lucas Clover Alcolea is originally from the UK and Spain, although he has lived in North America for the last 4 or so years. He obtained his undergraduate law degree from the University of Aberdeen in 2010, his LLM from Edinburgh University and his doctorate in law from McGill University. Lucas has worked in a number of roles in the private and public sector in North America and Europe with a focus on international dispute resolution. He has a broad range of academic interests including private justice, international law, property law, catholic legal theory and many others. Lucas has written articles for the McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution, the Contemporary Asia Arbitration Review, the St Thomas Journal of Law & Policy, the Pepperdine Dispute Resolution Journal, and the Journal of Dispute Resolution among others. His doctoral thesis is also due to be published in Spring 2022 by Edward Elgar Publishing as ‘The Arbitration of Trust Disputes’.
