The Last Mile Delivery Study is looking for people willing to share their experiences
Most people take it for granted that they can have packages delivered to their doorstep with just a few clicks on their phone. As the demand for last-mile delivery services continues to increase, parcel delivery has become one of the fastest growing jobs in the U.S.
Researchers from the ILR School at Cornell University want to understand how different companies organize the work and attract drivers. We hope to learn more about working conditions, hours, pay, and benefits at different firms. Professor M. Diane Burton is leading this National Science Foundation-funded project. We are interviewing drivers and managers to get the on-the-ground perspective about the challenges and opportunities in the last-mile delivery industry.

All interview and survey responses will be held in strict confidence and your participation in our research will remain anonymous. This means that no one, including your employer, will know that you participated in this study. Information will only be reported in an aggregated form, with no means of identifying individual responses. We will carefully guard your privacy by assigning a unique identifier to your responses that does not include your name or any personal information and we will never reveal anyone’s name in anything we write or report.
