Bethany Figueroa

Research Support Specialist, Climate Jobs Institute

Figueroa is a Research Support Specialist at the Cornell ILR Climate Jobs Institute. 

Bethany will conduct economic research and provide policy support to CJI’s state-based work. Before joining the Climate Jobs Institute, Figueroa worked on several research projects during her studies, including feasibility assessments on waste-to-energy technologies and biochar development in NY, researched the financial risks for waste-to-energy projects in the UK and bio-ethanol production plants in Australia, and managed and directed the logistics of a training program for house-cleaning workers in NYC. For this project, she conducted strategic corporate research on companies in the app-based food delivery industry, including monitoring lawsuits and policy changes. 

Bethany graduated from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering.
