Overview

We have two key customers in employment services: job seeker and employer. Both are important; both have preferences, conditions, challenges, and needs. A failure to get to know either customer can negatively impact everyone involved, and often leads to poor job matches, job loss, damaged employer partnerships, continued stigma of people with disabilities, and poor outcomes for the employment service professional and their VR partners. This session will focus on the first of these customers, the job seeker. We will discuss best practices in assessing and getting to know job seekers with disabilities, and review why it is imperative to employ quality assessment practices and strategies as we prepare job seekers for the world of work.

This webinar is intended for employment service professionals (ESP) and vocational rehabilitation counselors (VRC).
