Policy Wins Two Tournaments in January

Cornell won the JV divisions of Indiana University Hoosier Invitational and the U.S. Naval Academy Tournament

In January, Cornell Policy Debate sent 2 teams to debate virtually at the Indiana University Hoosier Invitational. The team won the JV division of the tournament in a 3-0 decision. Cornell debaters also placed highly in the speaking awards, including Richard Li (top speaker), Devansh Jotsinghani (2nd speaker), Kayla Butler (3rd speaker), and Mac Dickerson (7th speaker) for their speaker awards. Cornell Speech and Debate received a letter from the Cross Examination Debate Association (CEDA) congratulating us on this win, which can be seen on our facebook page.

The very next weekend in January, Policy debated virtually at the United States Naval Academy Tournament. Cornell again won the JV division with a 3-0 decision in a field of schools from across the country. Richard Li was awarded 3rd speaker, with Devansh Jotsinghani was 8th speaker.
