Overview

On November 30, Cornell ILR’s Climate Jobs Institute will release a new report titled, “Building an Equitable, Diverse & Unionized Clean Energy Economy: What We Can Learn from Apprenticeship Readiness.”  This report includes case studies from three successful Apprenticeship Readiness programs across the country: CityBuild in San Francisco, HIRE360 in Chicago, and the Apprenticeship Readiness Collective in New York City.  It also highlights a series of best practices and recommendations for practitioners, policymakers, and funders interested in learning more about how to grow apprenticeship readiness programs and use them to help create a diverse, inclusive, clean energy economy.

The event will celebrate the report’s launch and highlight key findings.  Participants will also have an opportunity to hear from and dialogue with key leaders from across the country working to grow and expand access to high-quality jobs in the clean energy economy.  Speakers will include representatives from organized labor, community organizations, and others on the frontlines of this work.
