ILR Duo Wins HR Awards

The Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management has named its 2019 award winners and a pair of Cornellians – Hyesook Chung M.S./Ph.D. ’20 and Assistant Professor JR Keller – will be honored and the 79th annual meeting of the Academy of Management on Aug. 12 at the Westin Copley Place Boston.

Chung takes home the Best Student Convention Paper Award for her “The Importance of Temporal Dimension in Workforce Management: Turnover-Hiring Synchronization.”

The Best Student Convention Paper Award is given annually to the student who is the sole or first author on the best paper accepted by the conference program committee. This award is sponsored by University of Iowa, Tippie College of Business.
    
Keller earns the Scholarly Achievement Award for his paper, "Posting and Slotting: How Hiring Processes Shape the Quality of Hire and Compensation in Internal Labor Markets."
 
This award is presented to the author of the most significant article in human resource management published in recognized journals and research annuals that are generally available to HR Division members. This award is sponsored by Riegel & Emory Human Resource Center, Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina.
