ILR Organizes Screening of Acclaimed Documentary "The Hand That Feeds"

In celebration of ILR's 70th anniversary, the ILR School presents a documentary chronicling a 2012 labor dispute involving undocumented workers at a NYC deli.

In honor of the ILR School's 70th anniversary, The Worker Institute and Cornell Cinema present the Ithaca premiere of an acclaimed documentary chronicling a 2012 labor dispute involving undocumented workers at a NYC deli. The film focuses on their struggle, and eventual triumph, in establishing an independent union with assistance from young organizers and Occupy Wall Street activists. ILR faculty Jeff Cowie and Veronica Martinez-Matsuda, who are also affiliated with The Worker Institute, will be introducing and discussing the film.
