“I learned that the “Buffalo Renaissance” is a real thing, as opposed to a propaganda tactic. It gives me hope that other cities that have been harmed by the decline in manufacturing can find new industries. I had a great time during the Fellowship. I really enjoyed spending time with other people interested in social justice and learning about initiatives and policies.”

–From Shara’s Final Evaluation

“I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed having Shara at Open Buffalo this summer. Shara is intelligent and has a broad base of knowledge and skills that saved the day on more than one occasion. Her passion for justice and learning are apparent in her work ethic. I can’t wait to see where she ends up, though I know wherever it is she will be successful. Shara has gained a fan and friend for life!”
