WORK HIGHLIGHTS

• Was a team member of the New Economy Department.

• Researched community solar models and how to “transfer” the energy produced by these panels to the PUSH tenants.

• Researched the pros and cons of purchasing refurbished solar panels when compared to new solar panels.

• Utilized spatial analysis to determine the best location for a community solar array within PUSH’s Green Development Zone.

• Worked on calculating potential costs and a set of guidelines for a greenhouse that will be located with PUSH’s sustainability training center.

• Attended community planning meetings for the Niagara Street Corridor.

BUFFALO HIGHLIGHT

Any of the nights spent walking the streets of Buffalo while eating and talking with the locals.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT

Boat tour of the Buffalo River and trip to the Colored Musicians Club. Being a tenor sax player, hearing the names of the people who played at the club was very awe-inspiring!

INTERESTS

Considering how the past and present influence the future and incorporating more community engagement when making decisions.

CONVENTIONAL AND UNCONVENTIONAL SKILLS

Structured Decision Making (experience with SDM and its application to natural resource management) and spatial anaylsis.
