Democracy Summer Fellowships - Buffalo, NY
Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner's Office

What Did You Work On:  Conducted raw research and data analysis on warehouse workers in the U.S. and in NYS to support the passage of NYS Warehouse Protection Act. Additionally, I conducted research on NYS workers in the gig economy to write a report detailing why NYS needs to provide standardized protections for gig workers.

Summer Takeaway:  It's ok to have many passions. Encourage yourself to explore them and view them as "projects" that will lead you to other passions. There is no need to commit to one sole task for the rest of your life.

Career Goals:  Work in non-profit agencies either in law related position or community organizing.
