LRAN Awards Announced

Worker Institute Fellow Receives Faculty Research Grant

The Worker Institute is pleased to announce that Maite Tapia Ph.D. '13, assistant professor at Michigan State University’s School of Human Resources and Labor Relations and fellow at the Worker Institute, is the recipient of the first Labor Research Action Network (LRAN) research grant. Tapia, along with Tashlin Lakhani Ph.D. '14, assistant professor at Ohio State University, will receive funding to support their project, “Organizing the Fragmented Unorganized? Lessons from the Fast Food Industry.” In addition, LRAN awarded four graduate student research grants. For more information about LRAN, visit their website.
