New York State Apollo Alliance Summit
Sean Sweeney, Director of the Cornell GLI, gave the keynote speech at the first New York State Apollo Alliance Summit. The speech entitled "A New Deal Approach to the Challenge of Climate Crisis," calls for bold government action to reduce carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions. "The climate challenge requires what I call 'An Emergency Transition' from fossil fuels to a clean and energy efficient economy, said Sweeney. "This Emergency Transition will only happen if there is government leadership and intervention."
