Tobin Sullivan graduated from Cornell's ILR School with Honors in 2007. He specialized in Collective Bargaining at ILR, taking a number of high level classes including: Labor Arbitration, Employment Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Labor and Employment Law, Negotiations & Conflict Resolution, and Collective Bargaining.
In addition to studying for a semester at University College Dublin's Quinn School of Business (affiliate of the ILR School), Tobin conducted a year-long Honor’s Thesis project titled "Mediation in Ireland and the United States: A Comparative Study." This thesis compared the tactics, techniques, and approaches of the FMCS Federal Mediators to the Labour Relations Commission’s Conciliators.
Tobin has experience in both management and union positions. During his tenure at Cornell, he interned with the Service Employees International Union Local 888 in the Organizing Department.
Currently, he works for Lockheed Martin Corporation in a Labor Relations role. Tobin continues to pursue a career in the dispute resolution field, gaining experience at Lockheed Martin in arbitrations and contract negotiations between the company and the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW).
