Kheel Center Outreach Services
Kheel Center staff provides a number of outreach services to the center’s world-wide clientele. The majority of the collection descriptions (also called finding aids) are available on-line. They greatly facilitate remote access to the center's resources.
Kheel Center staff is available for consultations, classroom instruction, and presentations on the Kheel Center holdings for Cornell as well non-Cornell faculty. Please contact us for more information about our collections, access conditions, staff availability, and more!
The center serves the public's information needs also through the Triangle Fire Exhibit, which has been accessed over thirty million times since its inauguration in 1998. It underwent a major revamping on the occasion of the centennial of the fire in 2011, attracting 4.5 million visits during that year alone. The Labor Photo database allows distant users to access the center’s rich photographic collections. A large sample of Kheel Center images is also available in Flickr.
Outreach services to donors include answering reference questions about their archives at the center, and advice on optimal records-management practices.
